Corrine Jean Gray

Corrine Jean Gray, 88, of Peoria, IL passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 12:05 pm at Washington Christian Village, Washington. She was born on March 18, 1926 in Peoria, IL to Emmett T. and Cora Belle (Abdon-McDaniel) Buckley. She married William "Al" Gray, Sr. on June 14, 1947 in Peoria, IL. He died on January 6, 1984. Surviving are her children William "Bill" (Rikki) Gray of Germantown Hills, Rick Gray and Penny (Dennis) Wood, both of Peoria; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Janet Gray and her two brothers Louis McDaniel and Marvin Buckley. Corrine was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights, IL. She was a life-long member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Chapter 1 of Peoria. She had worked at the Velvet Freeze in Peoria for over 20 years. The family would like to thank the staff at Washington Christian Village for their dedication and kindness. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Father Thomas Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, West Peoria. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer?s Association.
