Clyde F. Leach

Clyde F. Leach, 66, of Metamora, IL passed away at 3:35 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. He was born on March 1, 1951 in Peoria, IL to Reverend Coy and Flora M. (Swires) Leach. He married Joyce A. Church on January 3, 1975 in Peoria, IL. She survives. Also surviving are son Lynn C. Leach of Colorado, daughter Kristie S. (the late Bobby) Keen of Raven, Virginia, daughter Jennifer R. Eckert of Washington, IL, and son Shannon M. Leach of Metamora; grandchildren Kyle Levy, Bobby (Tiffany Stillwell) Keen II, Kelsey Keen, Kendra Keen, Lucas Owens, McKenna Eckert, and Lily Leach; one great-grandchild; brother Coy (Jennifer) Leach of East Peoria; sisters Connie (Glen) Parshall of Chillicothe and Shirley (Don) Hutchens of Metamora; sister-in-law Barbara Leach of Germantown Hills; and special friend Delmar "Smitty" Smith of Metamora. He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Bobby Keen, and brother Charles. Clyde was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a quality manager for Caterpillar. Clyde loved gardening, fishing, and working outdoors. He was an avid reader and enjoyed his time attending church services. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Clyde fought a long battle of health problems from the effects of Agent Orange that he finally succumbed to. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Bayview Baptist Church in Washington with Reverend Keith Thibo officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded after services.
