Clara K. Kohl

EAST PEORIA?Clara K. Kohl, 86, of East Peoria, passed away Friday morning, December 26, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Clara was born on September 16, 1928 in Woodford County to Louis Joseph and Clara Bernice (Kutz) Kohl. Among those surviving is one sister, Margaret Bernice Kohl of East Peoria. In addition to Margaret, Clara is also survived by many cousins and Katy, her pet dog that she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents. Prior to her retirement in the 1990?s Clara had worked for 20 years at Versa Press in Spring Bay. Clara was a member of St. Mary of Lourdes Church in Germantown Hills where she had also been active in the Ladies Society. She was also an active member of Spring Bay American Legion Auxiliary. One of her favorite pastime?s was gardening, which she dearly loved. Funeral services for Clara will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Germantown Hills with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary?s Cemetery in Metamora. Memorials for Clara may be directed to her church.
