Christy L. Weber

Christy L. Weber, 59, peacefully passed away on April 16, 2018.

She was born August 27, 1958 in Peoria, IL. Christy is survived by her sister Kelly (Pat) Sarver, her brothers, Kim (Linda) Weber and Kevin (Diane) Weber, and her mother, Bonnie (Keith) Park. She was preceded in death by her father Darrel Weber and grandparents.

Christy will be remembered as a very happy, fun loving person always giggling and dancing. She thrived with the help of her sister and guardian, Kelly. Christy loved to bowl and painting at the Hive. She loved working at CWTC and being with her boss Debra and the staff along with her friends. Most of all, Christy was a "social party" girl who got excited about every holiday and going to parties and dancing to music at HISRA sponsored events. Christy was very close to her caregivers at the group home where she lived. Her housemates, Ernie, Cavan and Ray were like family to her.

The caregivers at the house loved Christy's sense of humor and especially her smile and giggles. Music would come on and she would start dancing. Christy enjoyed spending time with her sister Kelly. They would go shopping and out to eat at the 50's Diner, one of Christy's favorite places was McDonalds, as she referred to it as (Ronald McDonald). Christy was always giving you a hug and telling you, "I love you". She loved her nephew Tony Burgard and it took years to get her to call him Tony instead of baby Tony, they would sit and color in her coloring books.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at HISRA for her friends. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Christy's honor be made to Heart of Illinois Recreation Association, 8727 N Pioneer Road, Peoria, IL 61615.
