Christine A. Rich

WASHINGTON... Christine A. Rich, 45, of Washington, passed away at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Christine was born on February 27, 1970 in Watertown, Wisconsin to James and Sandy (Thompson) Strahota. She is survived by her three children, Megan, Jessica and Nick Rich all of Washington; one brother, Jim Strahota of Pekin; two sisters, Jean Boyle of Pekin and Lindsey Strahota of Reedsburg, WI; a half brother, Dennis Strahota of Baraboo, WI and her companion for most of the last 12 years, Steve Griffith. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, James Strahota and Sandy Szuda. Christine was a graduate of the Methodist School of Nursing and for the last several years was the Nurse Manager at ManorCare at Riverview in East Peoria. She loved her career in nursing. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will follow in Hirstein Cemetery north of Morton. Visitation will be from noon Thursday until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials for Christine may be directed to the family for benefit of her three children.
