Christine E. Kuhlman, 52, of Peoria, IL, passed away at 1:57 am on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at her residence.
She was born on December 19, 1973, in Peoria, IL to E. Jeffery “Jeff” and Sharon (Oltz) Kuhlman.
Surviving are her daughter, Luci Casey of Roanoke, IL; her mother, Sharon Kuhlman of Metamora; sister, Stephanie (David) Belvery of East Peoria, IL; brother, Timothy (Natalie) Kuhlman of Germantown Hills, IL; five nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Jeff.
Chris dedicated much of her professional life to the hospitality and food service industry, where her strong work ethic, leadership, and passion for serving others earned her the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Throughout her career, she held several leadership positions, including Food and Beverage Manager and Director of Dining Services and Banquet Operations.
Committed to lifelong learning, Chris earned a degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management from Ashland University and furthered her education through the Paragon School of Hospitality. Her love of learning extended beyond her profession. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where she was recognized for her artistic talent by being named to the Dean’s List. She also earned an associate degree from Hartford Community College, where she was a proud member of the National Honor Society.
In addition to her professional and academic accomplishments, Chris was a gifted artist whose creativity brought beauty and joy to those around her. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and treasured the time spent watching games with family and friends, sharing laughter, memories and her unwavering loyalty to her beloved team.
Chris will be remembered for her intelligence, creativity, dedication and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and will be deeply missed.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with David Belvery officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Burial of Ashes will be held in St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Snyder Village Resident-In-Need Fund, 1200 East Partridge Street, Metamora, IL 61548. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
