Christine Ann (Hendrick) Hohenbery

Christine Ann Hohenbery, 75, of Washington, IL, passed away at 12:35 pm on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born on February 25, 1950 in Peoria, IL.  She married Wayne E. Hohenbery on June 28, 1969 in Creve Coeur, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Wayne of Washington; sons, Mark Hohenbery and Scott Hohenbery both of Metamora, IL; grandchildren, Mason, Hunter, and Madison Hohenbery; great-grandchildren, Ryder and Harper Hohenbery; and siblings, Paul (Deb) Hendrick of Kingston Springs, TN, Joan (Tony) Prytiscosh of Pekin, IL, Julie Besco of Creve Coeur, IL, and T.J. (Kim) Hendrick of Creve Coeur, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Dorothy "Dot" Hendrick and daughter-in-law, Michel Hohenbery.

Christine had worked as a shipping clerk for Foster and Gallagher.  Chris had a great love for her family. She enjoyed entertaining, but most of all spending time in her beautiful flower garden. There was always room for "one more plant".  Chris and Wayne also enjoyed traveling.  Their favorite destinations for scenery were Door County, Wisconsin and the East Coast.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to an Educational Fund for her great-grandchildren, Ryder and Harper, through CEFCU at any CEFCU location.  Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
