Christina Arlene Leason

Christina Arlene Leason, 84, of Bayview Gardens, IL passed away at 6:00 am on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Aperion Care of Toluca in Toluca, IL. She was born on August 28, 1932 in Brimfield, IL to Ernest Henry and Cloey Almina (Alexander) Baysingar. She married Lloyd Vincent "Red" Leason on April 25, 1953 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on January 29, 1988. Surviving are her children Paul (Linda) Leason of Glasford, IL, Jacqueline (Dale) Scogin of Peoria, IL, Geraldine (Bob) Galli of Sparland, IL, and Teresa (Jon) Symmonds of Peoria Heights; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and siblings Virginia Stone of Parkersburg, WV, Ernestine Lowry of Almyra, IL, Patricia (Louis) George of Lumberton, MS, and Harvey "Andy" (Patricia) Baysingar of Kewanee, IL. She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Christina loved pets, cooking, sewing, music, and dancing. She had a big heart and never met a stranger. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel in Metamora with Reverend Paul Seidl officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay.
