WASHINGTON?Charlotte A. Gunderson Waldron Jacocks, 93, formerly of Washington, passed away at 2:55 a.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Farmington Country Manor. Charlotte was born on March 16, 1920 in Chicago to Kennedy and Anna Kristina (Hoy) Clayton. In 1941 she married Robert Gunderson who died in 1967. Charlotte then married Stuart Waldron in 1973. After his death she married Kennedy Jacocks in 1985 who also preceded her in death. Among those surviving are one son, Robert (Joan) Gunderson of Peoria; one daughter, Susie (Sid) Reese of Lakeland, Florida; three granddaughters and eight great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Anne Millar and one brother, H. Kennedy Clayton, Jr. Charlotte retired from Caterpillar after 28 years. At the time of her retirement she was a supervisor in the maintenance area at the tech center. She was a 1938 graduate of Peoria Central High School and had been a member of the Peoria Newcomer Alums. Charolotte was also a graduate of Brown?s Business College in 1939. For 10 years Charlotte had volunteered at Wildlife Prairie Park and in her spare time loved to play bridge. Charlotte was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Peoria. She was a big Cubs fan and loved dogs. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials for Charlotte may be directed to the Peoria First Presbyterian Church, Farmington Country Manor or Harbor Light Hospice.
