Charlotte L. Skinner

Charlotte L. Skinner, 78, of Metamora, IL passed away at 12:43 pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on December 1, 1939 in Ipava, IL to Clarence and Marjorie (Duquenne) Riggin. She married David L. Skinner on July 3, 1959 in Canton, IL. He survives.

Also surviving are children Michael Skinner of Palm Springs, CA and Denise Skinner of Jacksonville, IL and siblings Charles (Donna) Riggin, Linda Mague, and Daniel Riggin all of Colorado and Fred (Susie) Duquenne and Dave (Cindy) Duquenne both of Canton, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Donna Easely, and brothers Robert Lyons and Frank Duquenne.

Charlotte retired from Glencoe McGraw-Hill where she was an editor assistant. She was a member of Willow Hill United Methodist Church in Germantown Hills, IL. She was involved in book club and the UMW Women's Club at her church. Charlotte was a loving wife and mother who was dedicated to her family. She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Willow Hill United Methodist Church with Reverend Bradley Watkins officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service at the church on Friday. Cremation rites will be accorded after her service.
