Charles William "Bill" Arnold

Charles William "Bill" Arnold, 87, of East Peoria, IL passed away at 1:27 am on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Unity Point Health-Proctor in Peoria, IL. He was born on March 25, 1930 in Petersburg, IN to Travis Arnold and Elma (Montgomery) Arnold Gladish. He married Barbara E. Armstrong on May 13, 1961 in Peoria. Surviving are his wife Barbara of East Peoria and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Perry Arnold, and his sister Faye Shallenberg. Bill was an insurance agent. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War and loved airplanes. Bill was a member of First United Methodist Church in Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with a memorial service immediately following at 3:00 pm with Reverend Vonna Lou Larson officiating. Graveside Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 5, 2017 in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria with military honors accorded.
