Charlene Alstadt

WASHINGTON... Charlene Altstadt, 84, of Washington, passed away at 8 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Washington Christian Village. Charlene was born on February 8, 1931 in Pontiac, Illinois to Charles and Cora (Houborg) Anderson. She married Dave Altstadt in Illinois, he passed away in 1982. Among those surviving are her two children, Mary (Dennis) Ruebush of East Peoria and Fred (Sandy) Altstadt of Mesa, Arizona; three grandchildren, David, Dylan and Michelle and a great granddaughter, Katjana. She was also preceded in death by one brother. Charlene last managed Glass Blowers of Manitou Springs, Colorado for many years. Prior to that she had been self employed owning various business's over the years. At Charlene's request, there will be no services and cremation rites have been accorded. Burial and committal will take place later at Forrest, Illinois. Mason-White Funeral Home is assisting the family in arrangements. Memorials may be directed to TAPS.
