Cecilia Ann "Cece" Walacavage

Cecilia Ann “Cece” Walacavage, 69, of East Peoria, IL, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Carle Health-Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL. She was born on May 22, 1956, in Peoria, IL, to Adolph and Cecilia (Alex) Walacavage.

Surviving are her siblings, Teresa Robbins of East Peoria and Joe (Karen) Walacavage of Ypsilanti, Michigan; and three nieces and one nephew, Rebekah Richardson, Thomas Ludolph, Kathryn Tietz, and Hannah Bender. She was preceded in death by her parents and oldest sister Mary Jane.

She was a lifetime resident of East Peoria. Cece was a gifted artist and outstanding cook, as her friends always looked forward to her invitations to come to her house for her home cooked meals. She loved being outside in her woods facing the back porch working on her flower plantings and ensuring that her hummingbirds had plenty of food sources.

Cece graduated from Academy of Our Lady High School – Spalding (Peoria) in 1974 and earned her Electrical Engineering degree from Bradley University in 1994. She retired from Caterpillar in 2017.

Cece will be remembered for always having a warm and welcoming smile, a giving heart, and not hesitant to share her opinions with you. She will be dearly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Deacon Dan Fandel officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary of Lourdes Cemetery in Metamora.
