Catheryne A. Loffredo

Catheryne A. Loffredo, 83, of Washington, IL passed away at 3:45 am, Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria, IL. She was born July 4, 1937 in Pana, IL, daughter of Marcel and Ruth (Slifer) LeDuc.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.

Surviving are two daughters, Monique Loffredo and Amanda (Dale) Lairmore, both of Washington; two grandchildren, Jeremy Loffredo (Audrey) of Coral Springs, FL, and Katlyn Michael (Mason) of Washington; and three great-grandchildren, Hadley Loffredo, and Owen and Vera Michael. Also surviving are one sister, Margie (Jim) Gorby of Washington, and two brothers Dick (Sharon) of Asheville, NC and Fred (Mary Kay) of Winona, MN.

In a large family being the only girl until she went away to college, Cathy was known as Sis. Playing outside with her brothers Cathy also earned the name two-gun twosie! She loved listening to Elvis. Cathy enjoyed getting to know people, always asking others about their lives and families. Cathy loved her family very much! Her favorite thing to do with her daughters was to shop for clothes and go out to dinner. We will miss Mom so much.

Cathy earned a bachelor of business education from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. She retired in 1999 after 25 years, from Ameren Cilco in Peoria.

Cathy was a member of the Stroke Survivor Support Group in Peoria, IL. She attended Retreat & Refresh Stroke Camp for many years where she was welcomed with love and support and formed many lifelong friendships.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
