Catherine M. Kirchgessner

Catherine M. Kirchgessner age 93 of Metamora, Illinois passed away at 1:37pm Saturday August 3, 2013 at her residence. She was born March 7, 1920 in Partridge Township, Illinois to John H. and Josephine C. (Fuchs) Tullis. She married Harold C. Kirchgessner on August 23, 1941 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Metamora and he survives. Surviving is one daughter, Linda (Bob) Murphy of Metamora, and one son Dennis (Iris) Kirchgessner of Washburn. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dan and John Tullis. Catherine was a life long member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, and the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening, was a loving mother, a grandmother who was totalley focused on her grandchildren and a great grandmother. A funeral mass will be at 10:00am Wednesday August 7, 2013 at St. Mary?s Church in Metamora with Father Ron Dodd officiating. Recitation of the rosary will be at 4:30pm with visitation to follow from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery.
