Carole S. Wernsman

Carole S. Wernsman age 54 of Metamora, Illinois passed away at 11:45am Saturday March 9, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born Oct. 31, 1958 in Peoria to Delmar and Laura (Thompson) Smith. She married Kevin R. Wernsman on July 4, 1984 in Germantown Hills, and he survives. Surviving are her children, Lora (Scott Teufel) Wernsman of Washington, Il., and Landin Wernsman of Metamora. Also surviving is her father of Metamora, one sister Beverly (Lyle) Krumwiede; brothers, Ronald Smith, Tracy (Charlotte) Smith, all of Metamora, and Jeff (Rose) Smith of E. Peoria. She was preceded in death by her mother in 2010. Carole was a Department Manager for Walmart in E. Peoria working there for 25 years. She enjoyed the outdoors, crossword puzzels, and Hummingbirds. She loved her dogs and cats and was a devoted wife and mother. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Wednesday March 13, 2013 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Rev. Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm until 8pm at the funeral home and also one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
