Camille Pearson

December 29, 1930 — January 13, 2026

Camille M. Pearson, 95, of Washington, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka. 

She was born on December 29, 1930, in Taylorville, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Phyllis Johnston Martin. She married Robert Pearson on May 27, 1950, and he passed away on May 29, 1992. One brother, Don Martin, also preceded her in death. 

Surviving are her sister Diane Meadows, of Taylorville, Illinois; six sons: Gary Pearson of Normal, Illinois; Bobby (Sallie) Pearson of Frankfort, Indiana; Randy (Tricia) Pearson of Rockingham, North Carolina; Ronny Pearson of Toluca, Illinois; Barry Pearson of Sunnyland, Illinois; and Bill (Karen) Pearson of Grayslake, Illinois. Further surviving are eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

She was a member of Crossroads Global Methodist Church in Washington. Camille had a variety of hobbies that she cherished. She was an avid reader and loved visiting the Washington Library every week, often reading her favorite books more than once. Her beautiful soprano voice brought joy to many as she sang with the Crossroads Senior Choir for many years. She also enjoyed sewing, creating lovely dresses for her granddaughters. Traveling was always exciting for her, and she went on several international trips, exploring new places. She also loved antiquing with her daughter-in-laws and collecting flow blue china and charming English cottage figurines, which she treasured dearly.

Cremation rites have been accorded. The family will privately celebrate her life. An inurnment of her remains will be at a later date at Old Stonington Cemetery in Stonington, Illinois.
