Bruce Loren Seckler

Bruce Loren Seckler age 67 of Metamora, Illinois passed away at 3:25pm Monday March 4, 2013 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minonk, Illinois. He was born June 29, 1945 in Washington, Illinois, to Everett and Mildred (Donahue) Seckler. He married Nancy M. Remmert on Aug. 14, 1965 in Metamora and she survives. Surviving are his children, Tim Seckler of Metamora, Becky (Dave) Johnston of Peoria, and one grandson Evan Seckler. Also surviving are brothers, Arnold Seckler of Cazenovia, Steve (Betty) Seckler of Washburn, Dennis (Susie) Seckler of Metamora, and Norman (Sharon) Seckler of Roanoke; sisters, Edna Marchand of Peoria, Candace (Jack) Miller of Foley, Alabama, Mary Shawback of Lostant, Theresa Seckler of E. Peoria, and Jeannie (Dave) Stivers of Washburn. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jack Seckler and sister Lois Seckler. Bruce was a Florist Designer for 10 years and worked as a Custodian for 25 years for Metamora Grade School District #1 retiring in 2002. Member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Metamora. There will be no services, cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of ashes will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery in Metamora at a later date.
