WASHINGTON?Bonnie L. Myers, 92, of Washington, passed away at 10 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka. Bonnie was born on April 12, 1923 in Quincy, Illinois. She married Duane H. Myers in Centralia on August 23, 1947. Together they celebrated over 55 years of marriage prior to his death on February 14, 2003 in Washington. Among those surviving are two sons, David (Debra) Myers of Annapolis, MD and Reverend Mark (Nancy) Myers of Jerseyville; one daughter, Maureen Hotkevich of Washington; six loving grandchildren, Melinda (and Abbie) Steil, Duane (and Mardel) Hotkevich, Megan Myers, Drew Hotkevich, Michelle Myers and Kaitlyn Myers and two great grandchildren, Grant and Nora Hotkevich. Bonnie loved to help others, especially volunteering at various things during her life. Some of her activities included being a Sunday School teacher, a Scouting Leader as her three children were growing up and helping United Methodist Women in various projects. Bonnie was also an amazing seamstress and loved to decorate cakes for different occasions. She had been a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tom Goodell and Pastor Dan Doty officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the sanctuary. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Mason-White Funeral Home is assisting the family in arrangements. Memorials may be directed to Crossroads United Methodist Church.
