Bonita E. "Bonnie" Meismer, 86, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 6:25 am on Monday, May 5, 2025, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

She was born on May 2, 1939, in Washburn, IL, to John E. and Marcella M. (Rohman) Finch. She married Richard A. "Dick" Meismer on January 30, 1959 in Metamora, IL. He passed away on August 21, 2017.

Surviving are her five children, Micheal Meismer of Chicago, IL, Linda (Gary) Guth of East Peoria, IL, Deb (Dan) Scheirer of Metamora, IL, John (Rhonda) Meismer of East Peoria, IL, and Peggy (Ed) Sullivan of St. Charles, IL; ten grandchildren, Holly (Matt) Murphey, Lexi (Chad) Angel, Nate (Ashleigh) Scheirer, Nikki Harms, Adam (Kailey) Scheirer, Dax Meismer, Haley Meismer, Riley Sullivan, Tyler Sullivan, and Macy Sullivan; twelve great-grandchildren, Caleb, Ansley, Ava, Charley, Noah, Kolt, Hunter, Ember, Addi, Jake, Collin, and Oliver; and four siblings, Eldon (Andrea) Finch of Tucson, AZ, Diane Cawley of McHenry, IL, Brenda Knight of Toluca, IL, and Denise Held of Metamora, IL; sisters-in-law, Rita Finch of Bartonville, IL, Doris Rodgers of Peoria, IL, Gerry Miller of LaSalle, IL and Evie Schermer of Peoria, IL; and brother-in-law, Barney Beoletto of Toluca, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gordon (the late Dorothy) Finch and Duane Finch, sisters, LaVeda (the late Dave) Davies and Carol Beoletto, and brothers-in-law, Mike Cawley, Mike Held, Jack Rodgers, Franklin Miller, and John Schermer.

Bonnie has worked for 23 years at Metamora Woodworking. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Metamora. Bonnie enjoyed playing the piano by ear, loved playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She loved hosting many gatherings for family and friends and her home was always welcoming and full of fun and laughter. A big thank-you to Denise for all the care and companionship she gave mom these past years.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until mass time, also on Tuesday at the church. Burial of Ashes will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
