Bob D. Jenkins

Bob D. Jenkins, 83, of Washington passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Unity Point Health - Proctor.

He was born on April 6, 1934 in Kennett, MO, son of Hubert and Lucille Clark Jenkins. He married Dorothy Spurlock on October 2, 1954 in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Surviving are his wife, their four daughters; Tresha Jenkins of East Peoria, Janice (Jim) Logan of Washington, IL. Sharon (Doug) Austin of East Peoria and Tammie (Jim) Mahrt of Washington, IL. Also surviving are six grandchildren Tracy Myers, Carrie Maynard, Justin (Megan) Arnold, Jared Arnold, Jesse Arnold and Jacob Arnold. Also surviving are 8 great grandchildren, two brothers Bruce (Pam) Jenkins of Poplar Bluff, MO and Danny (Christine) Jenkins of Washington, IL; four sisters Clara (Norm) Hendrickson of Washington, IL, Carol (Tom) Kimbrow of Poplar Bluff, Mo, Ida Miller of Poplar Bluff, MO and Deb Jenkins of Washington, IL. his parents and three great grandchildren also preceded him in death.

Bob worked his entire life spending 46 years at Sommer Products in Bartonville, IL. To those

that knew him, he was an honest and loving person. He enjoyed many things in life, including tinkering with things, but most importantly, he dedicated his life to taking care of the woman he married and his entire family.

A Funeral Service is scheduled for noon on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Mason-White Funeral Home. Pastor Caleb Bond will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
