Billy W. Cupples, 85, of Metamora, IL passed away at 11:45 pm on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at his residence.  He was born on June 2, 1933 in Chester County, Tennessee to Robert and Virginia (Morrison) Cupples.  He married JoAnn Eppy on October 11, 1958 in Peoria, IL.

Surviving are his wife JoAnn of Metamora; sons Steven (Sue) Cupples and Douglas (Amy) Cupples both of Metamora; daughter Dena (Mario) Aldarco of Grass Valley, CA; sixteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Susan, grandchildren Jodi Cupples and Steven Chapman, two brothers, and two sisters.

Billy was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War.  He worked at Caterpillar in Morton for 44 years.  After retirement, he worked for Germantown Hills Grade School for 15 years.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 24, 2019 and also one hour prior to his service on Friday both at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Spring Bay American Legion Post 1115.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Spring Bay American Legion Post 1115, 500 Legion Lane, Spring Bay, IL 61611 or Spring Bay Food Pantry, 406 Illinois, Spring Bay, IL 61611.  Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
