Beverly B Stamper, 88, of Washington, died at 11:34 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at Morningside of Washington. Born Sep 6, 1930, in Chicago IL to Francis H Hallinan and Ruth U Thompson.  She married Leroy Stamper on 19 Nov 1949 in Chicago. He died Apr 16, 2006.

Surviving are one daughter, Kim (and Larry) Lyon of Washington, one granddaughter, Jennifer (and Mike) Lair, one grandson, Brad (and Tazza) Lyon, and five great grandchildren. She was a resident of Lake Zurich, IL for 30 years, Crossville, TN for 27 years, before moving to Washington, Il. In 2012. Lee and Be (as they were known to friends) enjoyed historical sites and traveled extensively throughout the states and abroad.    Using her skills with stained glass, "Bee" was instrumental in the installation of stain glass windows at the Fairfield Glade Community Church in Tennessee.  She would also talk compassionately in length about traveling with her church to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina.  Always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, she was awarded the 2008 Cumberland County Senior Volunteer of the Year Honor. Cremation will be accorded.  A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Monday, October 1, 2018 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Americares at www.americares.org.
