Beverly J. DePoy, 75, of Metamora passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Snyder Village Health Center, Metamora. She was born on November 20, 1938 in Peoria, IL to Charles F. and Elva M. (Stookey) Tharp. She married Earl Donner DePoy on April 1, 1963 in Florida. Her parents and her husband preceded her in death. Surviving are her two daughters, Antoinette (Jeff) Rebholz of Pekin, IL and Michelle (Cameron) Shearhod of Washington, IL; two step-daughters, Diane (Thomas) Schaub and Susie Holcomb; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Jennifer Lagron. Beverly worked as a nurse, enjoying two very diverse medical paths along the way. She was a psychiatric nurse for her beloved Dr. Rodrigo Remolina for over twenty years, followed by an unusual second nursing path at Caterpillar Tractor Company, where she dearly cherished "her factory workers." She felt extremely fortunate to practice nursing in two such distinctive areas. Beverly was a member of Kingston Mines United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing pinochle with her "fellow geezers" of Snyder Village, fishing, reading, crossword puzzles, and had a great love of dogs. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Kingston Mines Cemetery, Kingston Mines, IL. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to Foster Pet Outreach, Peoria, IL. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com
