Betty L. Lane

Betty L. Lane age 91 of Metamora, Illinois formerly of West Peoria, Illinois passed away at 12:40 am Friday Oct. 12, 2012 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born July 8, 1921 in Peoria to Frederick and Bertha (Pauli) Krueger. She married William J. Lane October 18, 1947 in Peoria and he passed away June 17, 1987. Surviving are two sons, Tom (Debbie) Lane of Metamora, and Tim (Kathy) Lane of Eureka, IL. Three grandsons, Thomas " T.J." Lane of Normal, IL., Jim Lane of Eureka, and Joey (Emma) Lane of Bloomington, IL. She is also survived by one sister Alberta Eigel of St. Louis, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Anita Heimburger. Betty was a life long member of Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother who relished her time with her family and was a faithful member of her church. She loved to bake, play cards, garden in her flower beds and travel. She did volunteer work for the Blind in Peoria and at Snyder Village. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Tuesday Oct. 16, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Karl Eckhoff officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5pm until 7pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel and also one hour prior to services at church. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Betty?s church, Snyder Village Assisted Living, and Snyder Village Health Care.
