Obituary

Betty Alice Lilly Kruzan was born on March 30, 1931, and was glorified on June 10, 2026, at the Washington Senior Living Facility in Washington, IL.

She was the daughter of the late Lemuel and Wreatha Lilly of Beecher City, IL. As the youngest of six children, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Lois Himes, Berniece Wright, and Mary Lewis, and by two brothers, Duane Lilly and Junior “JR” Lilly. Betty was the last to pass on to the Lord.

Betty married Albert W. Kruzan on Oct. 25, 1953. They were married for 54 years until Al passed in 2007. They are survived by their two children, Valerie Kruzan from Washington, IL, and Bradley Kruzan (Jean) from North Smithfield, RI. They also loved and cherished their grandchildren: Derek Kruzan (Kelly), Joshua Kruzan, and Morgan Kruzan.

Betty’s grandchildren were truly the joy of her life. Whenever they visited, and she saw them, her face would light up as she joyfully exclaimed, “There’s my family!!” Betty also cherished her many nieces and nephews, holding them close to her heart.

Betty loved spending her time cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, solving crossword puzzles, and exploring new places through her travels.

Per Betty’s request, cremation rites will be honored, and a memorial service is planned for 11 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Pastor Bob DeBolt will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service. Burial of her cremated remains will be at Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington has been entrusted with cremation arrangements.
