Betty M. Humes

Betty M. Humes, 94, of Peoria Heights, IL, passed away at 8:37 pm on Monday, August 2, 2021.

Betty was born on September 8, 1926, a daughter of Joseph and Edna Neltner Bricka. She married LeRoy Humes on June 14, 1947 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Halstead; son, Terry (Doris) Humes; granddaughter, Jennifer Hostetler; grandson, Rodney (Jill) Humes; great-grandson, Brennan; and great-granddaughters, Tiffany, Kaylee, and Emma. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and son-in-law, Wayne Halstead.

Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed crafting, word search puzzles, and showing and training her poodles. She was a loving and caring mother who enjoyed her family.

The family would like to thank OSF Hospice nurse Heather and aide Angie for their loving care and comfort of Betty.

Private family services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington followed by a graveside service at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
