Betty J. Frymire, 84, of Peoria passed away at 1:17pm, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Manor Court in Peoria. She was born on September 20, 1931 in Quincy the daughter of the late Edward T. and Erma R. Baker Hahn. She married Rodney P. Frymire on July 2, 1949 in Metamora, IL. Rodney passed away on November 23, 2005 in Pekin. Also preceding her in death was one infant son Randy and one sister Mildred Smith. Surviving is one son Jim (Lisa) Frymire of Peoria, IL one daughter Kimberly (Greg) Marinelli of Bellevue, WA and five grandchildren Mark, Kurt and Erick Frymire and Dani and Caitlin Marinelli. Also surviving is one brother Emerson Hahn of Pekin. Betty was employed at R.G. LeTourneau's in Peoria, Illinois Agricultural Association in Bloomington, IL, Pontiac Public Library and she retired from Sammons Communications in Pontiac. She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church in Pontiac. Betty also was a past member of the First Presbyterian Church in Danvers where she taught Sunday school. Betty enjoyed many activities including needlepoint, knitting, crocheting, ceramic painting, cooking, baking and tending to her flowers outside. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend who had a kind and gentle spirit and had a love for animals including hummingbirds, dogs and bred pekingese. Funeral services will be 11am, Monday, February 15, 2016 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. There will be no visitation. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. Notes of condolences for the family may be sent using www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
