Betty J. (Burger) Mccumber

Betty J. McCumber, 97, of Washington, IL passed away at 10:10 pm on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Washington Senior Living in Washington.

She was born on July 5, 1925, in Peoria, IL, to Edwin and Fern (Northop) Burger. She married James W. McCumber, Sr. on September 15, 1945. He passed away in 2019.

Surviving are her two sons, Jim (Mary) McCumber, Jr. of Germantown Hills, IL and Tom (Maria) McCumber of Naperville, IL; three grandchildren, Jamie (Rusty) Kenyon, Kevin McCumber, and Tim (Joan) McCumber; and two great-grandchildren, Haley and Ryan Kenyon. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Betty was an office worker for D.A. Hoerr & Sons. She also volunteered in auxiliary service at Proctor Hospital.
