Bertha E. Toler

Bertha E. Toler age 85 of E. Peoria, Illinois formerly of Bay View Gardens, Illinois passed away at 12:35pm Saturday Oct. 12, 2013 at Rosewood Nursing Home in E. Peoria. She was born July 22, 1928 in Cobden, Illinois to Charles and Susie (York) Newberry. She married Claude Gene Toler on May 29, 1945 in Pomona, IL. and he passed away in 2008. Surviving is her daughter Brenda (Stan) Bocian of Washington, Illinois. One granddaughter Angela and two great grandsons Zach and JD of Peoria Heights, Illinois. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and one sister. Bertha loved to sew, crochet, and take long walks in the woods. She was a member of Bay View Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Thursday Oct. 17, 2013 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Rev. Roger Ruhman officiating. Visitation will one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
