Belinda S. Stedman

Belinda "Be" Stedman, 71, of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Grand View Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Peoria. Belinda was born on January 12, 1953, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, a daughter of Robert and Dortha (Frey) Stedman. Her father preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother of Peoria; siblings, Deena (Brad) Vicary of Edwards and Bob (Anna) Stedman of Dunlap; and nieces and nephews, Whitney (Nathan) Frake, Walker Stedman, Wriley Stedman, Kelsey Wright, Kayla (Keith) Baldwin, Kristy (Brett) Vukmanic, Scott (Ashley) Vicary; and 7 great nieces and nephews. Belinda's greatest moments were spent with family and friends, always up for a great laugh. Her smile radiated and everyone lucky enough to know Be, loved her. Belinda had a huge heart for animals. She worked as a receptionist until her retirement from Purdue University Veterinary Hospital. After her retirement, Belinda moved to Peoria, IL to be with the rest of her family. She spent her time volunteering at Foster Pet Outreach, treasure hunting at auctions and estate sales, and cheering on her Indianapolis Colts with friends and family. She will be greatly missed by her friends, family and all who knew her. A Celebration of Belinda's Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Dunlap American Legion, 5511 Legion Hall Rd, Dunlap, IL 61525. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private inurnment will be at Cottonwood Cemetery in Hanna City. Memorial contributions may be made in Belinda's memory to Foster Pet Outreach.
