Arden E. Baldwin

Arden E. Baldwin, 86, of Germantown Hills, IL, passed away at 7:28 pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Unity Point Health-Proctor in Peoria, IL.

He was born on June 6, 1936, in Montevideo, MN, to Mahlon M. and Evelyn (Hardwick) Baldwin. He married Crystal Ann Gray on March 23, 1958 in Elk River, MN. She passed away on December 15, 2013.

Surviving are three children, Mark Baldwin of Spring Bay, IL, Terry (Vani) Baldwin of Germantown Hills, IL, and Scott Baldwin of Peoria, IL; six grandchildren, Shridevi Madhure, Matthew (Katherine) Baldwin, Kala (Sushil) Baldwin, Madeline Baldwin, Olivia Baldwin, and Benjamin Baldwin; one great-grandson, Miles Baldwin; and Rotary Finnish daughter, Saara Viteli of Hämeenlinna, Finland. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arden had been in the Illinois National Guard. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota and his Master's Degree from Bradley University in Mechanical Engineering. Arden was a mechanical engineer for Caterpillar Tractor Company for 45 years until his retirement. He was a charter member of Willow Hill United Methodist Church in Germantown Hills.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Willow Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Nicole Cox officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until time of his service also on Sunday at the church. Burial of Ashes will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora, IL at a later date.
