Anne Hunziker

Anne L. Hunziker, 88, of Washington passed away, Wednesday, February 21, 2018, with her family by her side at Reflections Memory Care of Washington.

She was born on January 15, 1930 in Louisville, KY, daughter of Leslie and Margaret Williams Krohn. She married Donald E. Hunziker on June 13, 1954 in East Peoria. He passed away on November 19, 2009. One sister Donna Belle Moushon also preceded her in death.

Surviving are four children, Linda (Mark) DeJarnatt of Washington, Sue Ellen (David) Meija of Salem, Ore., Janice (Terry) Phillips and John Hunziker both of Washington. She also is survived by 10 grandchildren Lauren, Khara, Phil, Caleb, Mario, Jesse, Luke, Micah, Abraham, and Lydia along with 20 great-grandchildren. Further surviving are one sister Ida Rhea (Don) Clark of Washington, and one brother-in-law Harlan Moushon of Morton.

Anne was a 1948 graduate of East Peoria High School where she had a lifelong friendship with her "The Gofurs". She was devoted to her husband and supported him with the daily operation of the farm along with raising her family. She attended Grace Bible Church in Washington for over 50 years and placed her confident expectation in the Lord Jesus Christ over anything this world could ever offer.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 25, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Additional visitation will be Monday, February 26, 2018, from 10:00 until 10:45 at Grace Bible Church with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Her son-in-law Terry Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, which has greatly blessed her great grandson Jotham and his family for over 2 years.
