Anna Chave

Anna Marie Chave, 96, of Peoria passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Aperion Care of Peoria Heights, IL.

She was born on November 16, 1921 in Granite City, IL, daughter of Ben and Anna J. Gray Ulgar. She married Walter F. Chave in Detroit, MI on May 12, 1945. He passed away on July 24, 2016 in Peoria Heights. She was also preceded in death by one sister, one infant brother and one infant sister.

Surviving are two sons Walter F. (Ralene) Chave Jr. of Pekin and Robert M. (Fay) Chave of Washington. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She worked for Peoria Partitions for 20 years. Marie was a charter member of the First United Bretheren Church in Peoria. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, painting and playing the piano.

Private graveside services will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association-Central Illinois Chapter. Notes of condolences may be sent using www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
