Ann Philomena Burns, 92, of Washington, formerly of St. Louis, MO passed away at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.

She was born on April 23, 1931, in Litchfield, IL the daughter of Michael and Nanna McEvoy Burns. Surviving are her nieces and nephews Marcella Curley of Washington, IL, Michael Burns, Angela Burns, and Joseph Burns all of Metamora, IL, Melanie Burns of Scottsdale, AZ, Bernadette Burns of Peoria and Lucy Marcello of East Peoria, IL. Also, surviving are many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother Bernard, two sisters Margaret Burns and Kathleen Marino and one infant niece Josephine and one Nephew Dennis Burns. Ann was a Registered Nurse working for the Mehlville School District for 35 years retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in St. Louis. Cremation rites have been accorded.  A private burial of her remains will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Gillespie, IL.
