Allen Wayne Rassi

Allen Wayne Rassi, 63, of Paxton, IL passed away at 9:05 pm on Monday, November 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born on May 5, 1954 in Peoria, IL to Wayne and JoAnn (Johnson) Rassi. He married Rosalie Miller on May 2, 1981 in Metamora, IL.

Surviving are his wife of Paxton; son Jason (Elizabeth) Rassi; daughter Jessi (Jeff) Sinn; his parents of Metamora; grandchildren Addi and Elli Sinn; brother Roger (Terri) Rassi; sister Bobbi Jo (Rodney) Robison; niece Randy Robison; and nephew Levi Robison.

Allen was a graduate of Lowpoint-Washburn High School. He was a proud Kroger trucker for 35 years, retiring in 2009. He stayed busy driving buses for eight years and fiddling with endless projects until the end. He was a member of East Peoria Mennonite Church in East Peoria, IL and Dewey Community Church in Dewey, IL. He loved his family, God, and his Harley motorcycle.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Peoria with Pastor Neal Hauser officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate, 530 NE Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, IL 61637 or the American Cancer Society Central IL Chapter, 4234 North Knoxville Avenue, Suite B, Peoria, IL 61614.
