Allan E. "Al" Smallwood, 68, of Germantown Hills, IL, passed away at 8:35 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.

He was born on March 17, 1956, in Gibson City, IL, to Phillip K. and Lois A. (Kaiser) Smallwood.

Surviving are his son, Dustin (MariEllen) Cook of Germantown Hills; granddaughter, Serenity Cook; siblings, Debra Hansen of Ralls, TX, Mary Stambaugh of Washington, IL, and Gary (Gay) Smallwood of Norfolk, VA; and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Billy Hanson and Dave Stambaugh.

Al was a bridge foreman for IDOT and also a Woodford County sheriff's deputy.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with visitation held one hour prior.
