Alfredda B. Gangloff age 85 of Metamora, Illinois passed away at 10:15am Friday Dec. 6, 2013 at Snyder Village in Metamora. Born February 24, 1928 in Greeneville TN. to Denny Herman and Mary (Bass) Hensley, she married Kenneth Johnson on March 13, 1948 in Greeneville and he died in 1979. She then married Roger Waldschmidt in Metamora in 1981 and he died in 1981, then marring Gerald A. Gangloff on Sept. 23, 1983 and he survives. Surviving are five daughters, Vicki George of Vero Beach, FL., Kristi (Duane) Blumenshine of Washington, Karen (Roy) Winnett, Laure (Chuck) Heinzmann both of Metamora and Lisa (Dean) Frye of Peoria; three sons Douglas (Kathy) Gangloff, Allen (Kathleen) Gangloff both of Metamora and Bruce (Cindy) Waldschmidt of Deltona, FL. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a brother Dale (Evelyn) Hensley of Greeneville, TN. Preceded in death by one son Paul Gangloff, one granddaughter Kara, five brothers and one sister. Alfredda was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Metamora and the Altar Rosary Society. During WWII she worked in Oak Ridge TN. at a facility that was used in the making of the Atomic Bomb. Years later she worked for the City of Peoria and the Fondulac Park Administration Building. She loved quilting and crocheting. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am Tuesday Dec. 10, 2013 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Metamora with Father Ron Dodd officiating. Recitation of the rosary will be at 4pm with a visitation to follow from 4:30pm till 7pm Monday at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Burial will be in Fondulac Township Cemetery in E. Peoria. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Autism Society Peoria Chapter at Easter Seals in Peoria and St. Mary?s School. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com
