Alfred T. "Tom" Ashburn, 71, of Germantown Hills, IL passed away at 6:49 am on Monday, August 9, 2021 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. He was born on October 20, 1949 in Peoria, IL to Iber E. and Dorothy V. (Cheney) Ashburn.

Surviving are his daughter, Joni Hunt of Germantown Hills, IL; three grandsons, Brody, Mason, and Nolan Hunt; and sister, Judy (Mel) Perrill of Pekin, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ed Ashburn.

Tom was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was the co-owner of A & B Distributing in Germantown Hills. He then worked as a custodian for Metamora Township High School.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Reverend Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial of Ashes will be held in Roanoke City Cemetery in Roanoke, IL.
