Ronald W. Martin

Ronald W. Martin, 68, of Delavan, Illinois passed away at 6:50 pm on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his residence. He was born on October 22, 1945 in Delavan to Orva E. and Verna M. (Kennell) Martin. He married Colleen J. Kauffman on July 24, 1976 in Turner, Michigan. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Phil Martin of Metamora, Alissa (Myron) Swantz of Kalona, Iowa, Greg (Kathy) Martin of LowPoint, and Dana (Danielle Klaus) Martin of Metamora; four grandchildren, Jessica, Elizabeth, Lincoln and Rebecca; five sisters; and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ronald was a life-long farmer. He was also a member of Linn Mennonite Church, rural Roanoke, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 10:00 am at Linn Mennonite Church, rural Roanoke, with Pastor Steve Ulrich. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 4 to 8 pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel and also one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Stewart Harmony Cemetery, rural Metamora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Women?s Pregnancy Center through the Peoria Rescue Ministries.
