Raymond Theodore Dubois

Raymond Theodore Dubois, 77, of Metamora, IL passed away at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 4, 2016 at his residence. He was born on April 29, 1939 in Metamora, IL to Theodore and Rose (Garber) Dubois. He married Alice Streitmatter on April 27, 1968 in Metamora, IL. She survives. Also surviving are his six children Tina Dubois, Raymond McDermaid and Javonne Chance all of Metamora, Theresa Dubois of Lowpoint, Timothy Dubois of Benson, and Rose (BJ) Miller of Roanoke; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers Marvin Dubois of Metamora and Richard (Carol) Dubois of Lacon; one sister Bernie Streitmatter of Peoria; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Margert Rodden, brother Lawrance Dubois; sisters-in-law Jeanette Dubois and Linda Dubois and brothers-in-law Ramond Streitmatter and Carl Rodden. Raymond was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a life-long farmer. He worked as a CNA at St. Joseph Home in Lacon for 31 A½ years. He was a 3rd Degree Member of Council 8321 Knights of Columbus in Lacon. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Metamora with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 am until service time at the church. Burial will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Metamora. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Masses at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's School or New Abilities for Handicapped Children and Adults, 3215 North University Street, Peoria, IL 61604.
