WASHINGTON?Phyllis Tomlinson, 83, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Washington Christian Village. Phyllis was born on August 18, 1931 in Holland, Michigan to George and Hilda (Evans) Frego. She married Charles L. Tomlinson in Holland on June 15, 1954. He died on November 11, 1998 in Peoria. Among those surviving are her four children, Craig (Terri) Tomlinson of Delano, TN, Colleen (Patrick) White of Palmer, Alaska, Timothy Tomlinson of Wasilla, Alaska and Christopher (Gina) Tomlinson of Washington; two sisters, Patricia (Jack) Shinabarger and Beverly (Julius) Essenburg, both of Holland, Michigan; 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Vivian Tomlinson, a grandson, Brandon Tomlinson, two brothers and an infant sister. Phyllis had worked as a temp in the offices of Caterpillar for many years. She delivered Meals on Wheels for many years as well. She loved to paint landscapes and scenery, play golf when she was able and enjoy her many walks and hikes in the area that she lived. A service to celebrate Phyllis?s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Daniel Bennett officiating.
