Matthew R. Nettles

WASHINGTON?Matthew R. Nettles, 31, of Washington, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in Peoria. Matt was born on September 19, 1981 in Peoria to Christopher and Katherine (Heiser) Nettles. Among those surviving are his parents, Chris and Kathy Nettles of Washington; his two daughters, Zoe Alexis Marie Nettles and Zadee Mae Nettles, both of Washington; three brothers, Joshua (Amanda) Nettles of Kannapolis, North Carolina, and Nathan Nettles and Michael (Amber) Nettles both of Washington; his grandparents, Frank and Carla Nettles of Washington and Peggy Heiser of Washington and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins. Matt was preceded in death by his grandfather, Melvin Heiser. He had worked as a grill manager at the McDonald?s in Metamora. Matt?s favorite enjoyment was being able to spend time with his daughters. He also loved to fish, play sports, especially basketball and other family time. He attended Washington Community High School and played football in his senior year. Matt was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He was a member of the Church of Christ. A celebration of Matt?s life will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with Evangelist Doug Hafley officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 Saturday prior to services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials for Matt may be made to the Nettles Education Fund for the benefit of his daughters in care of Heartland Bank and Trust.
