Kathryn L. Stamper

Kathryn L. Stamper, 83, of Peoria passed away at 12:50 am on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Amy?s County Manor in Pekin. She was born on October 5, 1930 in Pekin the daughter of George and Loretta Harper Bodish. She married Delbert W. Stamper on October 5, 1949 in Peoria. He passed away on February 28, 2014 at Amy?s County Manor in Pekin. Also preceding Kathryn in death was her parents, one son Delbert M. Stamper and one sister Ruth Slama. Surviving are two daughters Marsha Stamper of Pekin and Cheryl (Ken) Majors of Chillicothe. Further surviving are 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, one brother George (Wanda) Bodish of Peoria Heights. She was a member of The Journey Church in East Peoria. She retired from the Smiley Living Center in Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service scheduled for 10:30 am on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at The Journey Church, 118 Glen Oak Street, East Peoria. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Journey Church.
