Gary L. Beschorner, 83, of Washington, IL passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, surrounded by his family at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on September 22, 1940, in Washburn, IL the son of John and Dorothy Retter Beschorner. He married Karen (Kaye) Genseal on July 1, 1984, in Washington.
He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Torrie Reynolds. Surviving are his wife of Washington and children, Aundrea (Doug) Kinas of Washington, Kimberly (Scott) Flanders of Mesa, AZ, Dawn (Paul) Mauschbaugh of Washington, Tiffany Beschorner of Peoria, IL and Curt Reynolds of Washington. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Lauren Murphy, Allyson (Greg) Butler, Bryan (Jordan) Kinas, Claire (Jordan) Mauschbaugh Smith, Kate (Tim) Cook, Max (Isabelle) Mauschbaugh, Jacob Flanders, Jared Flanders, Baylee Reynolds, Ryan Beschorner, Mayson Beschorner, Jada Beschorner, Sawyer Reynolds and 9 great grandchildren and counting.
Gary graduated from Washburn High School and then began working as a Ford mechanic which he continued until retirement. Growing up he was a member of Washburn Christian Church. In his free time, he enjoyed farming, snowmobiling, woodworking, bowling, playing cards & spending time at the family cabin in St. Germain, Wisconsin. Throughout his life he cheered on the Chicago Bears, Nascar, the Fighting Illini and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Services are scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to his service. Burial will be in Linn Mt.
