Sheila Carius Obituary

Sheila Kay Carius, 72, formerly of Washington, IL, passed quickly and unexpectedly into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka, IL.  

Sheila was born to Jack and Shirley (Hesselein) Carius on November 27, 1945, and lived at home on Dutch Lane until March 2017.

Sheila is survived by her mother, Shirley Carius; siblings Sharon (Les) Hauser, Dave (Kris) Carius, Debra (Tony) Slagle, and Beth (Dan) Klaus; as well as 9 nieces and nephews; and 7 great-nieces and nephews; Uncle Don Carius; and Aunt Pat (Bill) Blumenshine; as well as many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Jack Carius, infant sister Beverly, niece Amy Carius, aunt Gladys Carius and cousin Janet Renfroe.

Sheila loved Jesus her Savior, her family, her cat Smokey, horses and all animals, Roy Rogers, the Cardinals, Chicago Cubs especially Ben Zobrist, recipes, her computer, and baseball.  She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Washington.

Services will be held 11:00am, Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Grace Bible Church in Washington. Pastor Adam Kipp will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour before services also at the church.  Burial will follow her service at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Apostolic Christian Handicapped Home in Morton or to Grace Bible Missions Fund.  To share a memory or condolence with her family, visit www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
