Regina Hutchison Obituary

Regina L. Hutchison, 58, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully at 7:35am Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at her residence.

She was born April 10, 1960 in Peoria the daughter of John and Patricia Kelly Hufeld.  

Surviving are one daughter, Erin Ogborn, son in law Mohamed and three grandchildren Adam, Maria, Haneena.  Also surviving are six sisters Sheila, Ellen, Angie, Lynne, Rose, Kathryn “Kitty” two brothers Tim and John “Andy”, and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael.

She worked at Geiger Tru-Value Hardware in Chillicothe since 1988, she had a knack for solving problems.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. She believed in equity, social justice and was a humanitarian to many organizations. She enjoyed nature near and far; from walks along the Illinois river, to flying over the Glaciers in Alaska. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, Sci-Fi novels, gardening and became an expert knitter. 

Cremation rites have been accorded. Family, friends, and others whose lives Regina has touched are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service which will be held at Shore Acres Park Clubhouse 100 Park Blvd, Chillicothe, IL 61523 on Sunday June 17th from 1:00pm-4:00pm.  To share memories and condolences, visit www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
