Nancy E. Cushing

Nancy E. Cushing, 79, of Washington, IL, passed away at 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at her residence.  She was born on June 8, 1939 in Peoria, IL to Earl and Nona (McGlouthlin) Clater.

Surviving are one daughter Suzette Ervin of Deltona, FL; two sons Mark Lee of Washington, IL and Eric (Jeannie) Lee of Creve Coeur, IL; one grandson Andy (Lexi) Lee of Boynton Beach, FL; one granddaughter Stephanie (Coleman) Parrish of Swansea, IL; one sister Donna (Richard Brekke) Weber of Metamora, IL; one step-brother Donnie (Terry) Hayden of Decatur, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Donald Lee, and second husband James Cushing.

Nancy loved to travel and was very active with Peoria Charter Coach. She visited every state except for one, Hawaii. She was also an avid golfer who was involved in two different golf leagues and active in Hillcrest Golf Club.  Some of the jobs she did throughout her life included being a landlord for several different rental properties and working at Washington State Bank.  Nancy was a vibrant person who never met a stranger.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Mason-White Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Hicks officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of her service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria, IL. A luncheon will immediately follow the graveside at Taylor Masonic Lodge #98, 119 North Wilmore Road, Washington, IL.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to WHIP (Washington Helps Its People), 1253 Peoria Street, Washington, IL 61571 or to the Washington Weekend Snackpac Program, c/o Washington Christian Church, 1012 North Main Street, Washington, IL 61571.
