Meridee Guthrie Obituary

Meridee Ann Guthrie, 73, of Washington formerly of Spring Bay, passed away at 2:10am, Monday, January 7, 2019 at Washington Christian Village.

She was born on March 31, 1945 in Peoria the daughter of John and Marian Sullivan Anderson.  She married Chet Wurster, then later married Lloyd Guthrie on October 20, 1993.  He passed away on May 1, 2003.  Her parents and one brother Delmar also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters Christine Goodman (Mike Biagini) of Washington and Melissa (Trent) Luster of Germantown Hills.  Also surviving are five grandchildren Jennifer (Ben) Frank, Jessica (Joseph) Triplett, Nicole Gordon, Robert Gordon and Trent Rubel.  Also surviving are 7 great grandchildren, two brothers John (Kirsten) Anderson and Richard (Lisa) Anderson both of Upstate New York.

She was a waitress for many years at various restaurants in the Peoria area.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, loved spending time with her dogs Mitsy and Allie, her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was a 20 year member of the Spring Bay American Legion Auxiliary Post 1115.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A time to celebrate her life will be Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm at the Spring Bay American Legion, 500 Legion Ln in Spring Bay.  A private inurnment will be at Spring Bay Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials donations are encouraged for Washington Christian Village, Vitas Hospice or to the Spring Bay American Legion Auxiliary Post 1115.
