Lois Guiher Obituary

Lois B. Guiher, 99, of Metamora, IL passed away at 7:32 pm on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born on December 7, 1919 in Cleveland, OH to Howard L. and Lucille M. (Hein) Bohley. She married John K. “Jack” Guiher on July 23, 1945. He passed away on April 3, 2010.

Surviving are her daughter Carla Guiher of Metamora; grandson John (Diana) Read of Metamora; and great-grandchildren Grady, Cole, and Ty Read. She was preceded in death by parents and one sister.

Lois was an administrative assistant in the Chemistry Department at the University of Illinois in Champaign. She enjoyed golfing and dancing and was a member of the University of Illinois Stardusters Dance Club. She was a pet lover and loved playing cards with her grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Grandview Cemetery in Champaign, IL. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
